1965 Overlander Hot Water Heater

I recently replaced the water heater from our 65 Overlander. Before I throw old/original in the dumpster, does anyone need any of the original parts that are on it? I know there's not much to scavenge from it, but I thought I might ask....

p.s. the new one works great, and is sooo much lighter.. :-)

I know this thread is old but we just bought a 65 overlander and were wondering what make and model hot water heater you got and were did you get it? we don't know if ours works but assume we must replace when we get to that.

does it have the original door with the chimney like attachment? I could use the entire door section if you have it.

Don't know if you tossed it yet but I broke the knob on mine today. Just let me know? Thanks
