where does the grey water go?

So I got this new to me 66 Overlander. I had 3 newer 70's Airstreams, all had grey tanks.
I see the black dump valve on this, no prob, but where doe the grey water go? I have not seen a hose or valve yet on this trailer. Any chance they both go into one tank?

Probably the gray water exits the same discharge as the black water downstream of the black tank. No gray water storage.

Our 1970 has no gray water tank. Instead, we use a "Blue Boy" attached by a short length of garden hose from a port on the black water release valve. The gray water bypasses the black water tank.

When we first got our trailer, we (yes, I must admit) did not know there was no gray water tank. We thought we were having plumbing problems, as water would back up in our tub. Then we realized the tub was serving as our gray water tank, the valve was shut, and it had nowhere else to go. The blue boy works out just fine, as most campsites have a gray water dumping station, and we just dump it as it fills.

13 years ago when I got my ’67 GT, I found that the grey water would drain into the black tank if the dump valve was opened. The grey collector was just behind of the valve. No big deal if you were careful with water on a short weekend.
Conversely, if you didn’t open the valve and had the cap on the collector’s outlet the grey water would back up into the bathtub.
This is when I discovered why they made a cap with a garden hose outlet.
It’s for the Blue Boy Totter.
Now with the ’72 TW, I can’t drain into the black tank and I’m forced to use the now larger totter. Older but not necessarily wiser.
Thetford makes some nice ones with wheels and a bar to flip over the hitch ball to drive down to the dump station.

Not unless a previous owner changed it. The gray (wash) water drains directly to the ground and the lines from the sinks and shower are connected just downstream of the black water drain valve.

Picture being worth 1000 words...

Here's a look at my dump/grey water system, with the belly pan off. (with the pan on, all that is visible is that cap). You can see how the grey water pipes enter the sewer line (a.k.a. "collector") beneath the dump valve...which is up against the bottom of the black tank. (black tank sits on the floor at the very back of the trailer).
Its a little hard to visualize, at first.
yours probably isn't exactly like this, but it'll be the same concept.

If you use your sink with the outlet plugged, and no grey tank (like in our 68) you will be rewarded with grey water backing up into your shower/tub - yay!

Some time after the 66 was designed CG, parks state and national figured out it could be a problem dumping grey on the ground, most campers now don't remember when it was ok for everyone, but still do it when they are in a tent. They even have signs at most CG that you are not allowed to wash dishes in the laundry room sink;-)

I think I see now, I just need to keep the blue tank hooked up for grey and dare not touch the valve for the black dump.

Sounds like you've got it. If you use a blue tank be sure to open the vent on it - that's another good way to end up with grey water in your shower. Don't ask how I know

I keep a washing machine hose (double female 5/8ths "garden hose" thread) in the bumper storage area for the grey water...attaches to that fitting on the cap that you see in the pic; the blue boys usually have a corresponding fitting. if you use that fitting on the blue tank, you need to loosen the other 3" cap for venting.

thanks again. I also will need a hose like that for my water inlet. So guess I will get two. And the Thetford converter for my hoses.
