What size tank

What is a good size black tank? I plan on doing an above floor tank and mount a low profile thetford on top. I will probably only be camping on long weekends and there will be 2 adults and 1-2 young children. What is the max height I should go? I will be covering the tank with 3/4 plywood. How many gallons do people think I should use. Please don't say "as big as you can". I really want to know what size would be enough. 10 gallons seems small but maybe i'm wrong. Thanks.

My 75 TW has a 12 gallon tank. Four days is about the max for two of us.

We have 10 gallon black tanks in each of our trailers. It's enough for 2 adults for about 4 days. BUT, we don't have kids and we do conserve water when we can...the tank fills with paper & water more than "waste" - if you really want to save room - be mindful of those and you'll be in good shape.

Usually, most people will use more gray water than black...but with a '66 you don't have a gray tank to fill unless you plan on adding one.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do ~
