Tote Tanks

Has anyone tried the Tote Tanks? I was looking at the 22 gallon size.

I had one whenI was fulltiming. My reccomendation is smaller is better. at 8 Lbs per gallon, dragging a 175LB tank to the dump station is quite a workout! There is some kind of clip that allows you to do the moving woth the tow vehicle, but I do not know how well that works.

22 gallon

I bought the 22 gallon from Ebay last week.

I am looking forward to putting it in service.

I intend to fill it with water while at home and test run the weight. I will determine what kind of fill / weight is suitable for me.

I was looking at the 25 gal until the 22 came available for less money.

Did I tell you that i picked up the 22 gal with the accssory kit, (sold at camping world for 104.00 + 12.00) for 60 dollars?

I am so happy I could just $#!%

I ended up getting one my first two weeks out here in Seattle because of lack of sewer hook-ups at the places I stayed. 22 Gal is the one I got and it is managable. The two bracket works well for hooking it up to ball hitch and VERY slowly driving it the dump station (assuming its on premise). The drawbacks to the larger ones is if you are intending on staying at State Parks where they do not have a dump station - then definately smaller is better - as the towing of the tote tank is only meant for short distances at less than 5 mph.

Grey tank for grey water

I recently bough a 11 gallon tote tank from Bunkley RV Superstore and it is a nice Airstream compatible grey instead of that bright blue like so many of the ones seen in campgrounds. It is just the right size for short trips since our Airstream does not have a grey water tank.
