Toilet flange removal help

Hi guys, I'm working my way through a '76 Ambassador. I removed the toilet, and ordered a new flange, but I'm having some difficulty removing the old flange. I don't know if it's threaded, or glued, or what, but it's not budging. I have attached a picture showing the old flange, and the new one side by side. I need to get it out so I can install the new one. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

How did you know which flange to order? They made 6 or 7 different styles and sizes. Does the new one have threads? If not it's glued in.

Mine was threaded. It took a lot of effort to start it turning because the previous owner used a sealant on the threads. I noticed there were two notches on the inside rim of the flange. I cut a piece of metal to fit into these notches which gave me something to grip while I turned it loose.

I made a spanner wrench. In my '74 Argosy it unscrews.
