I don't go nuts cleaning the black tank for every trip

But I use it almost every weekend in the spring and summer, and use an enzyme system that actually calls for some fecal matter to feed and in turn "grow" the enzymes. No formaldihydes ( excuse the spelling ).
I clean the slinky with a hose.

I like the idea of the Camco Dual Flush or Flush King. Now without a grey tank what if any is the problem of backing BT contents up into the grey sewer and my nearby shower? Also with the vintage placement of the dump (center rear) drain exiting into the rear bumper storage area. I see maybe some metal cutting and fashioning a new bottom access drain door so as to provide the space needed for the flushers. I can do that to get the convenience of these flush products but I would like to hear if anyone has done this with their rear bath vintage coach.

Neil.

A macerator pump with a built in tank sprayer is a good alternative for a rear bath vintage coach. Then you can get rid of the slinky hose altogether.

yes, but not unless you have a seperate grey tank...or, at least, valves that block off the gray lines. If you have an "on the floor" black tank, it will fill the shower with its contents if there is even the *slightest* restriction in flow when you open the black tank valve. ask me how I know.

If you mean while showering and the contents of the black tank back up into the shower on units without gray tanks, you wind up standing in a open sewer ankle deep in fecal matter/urine. !!!!!!!!!!!

If you mean while dumping and flushing the tank, you need to disinfect the shower pan and possible the floor of the bathroom.
