I have the Aqua Magic V in my 1976 Argosy and we love it. We have the low profile with the foot flush. Nice easy install, good seals and it looks nice.

Which toilet??

Need to replace the current Thetford Bravura in our 2004 Classic, and trying to decide which toilet to use. Need low profile, and would like china bowl, elongated seat and of course quality. Looking at the Aqua Magic Plus, Sealand 511 Plus, Dometic 320. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We put a Dometic 310 in ours and we mostly like it. The two things about it that I don't like are:
1. The partial pedal push to just run water in without opening the valve is awkward. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying. I kind of miss the second pedal.
2. It's taller than the original toilet - as we intended - but what we didn't consider was that the cabinet next to it now doesn't open all of the way. Not a big deal, but if you have a cabinet near the toilet that opens over the current toilet lid, make sure it's okay if you can't open it all the way any more because of the taller toilet.

Have a Dometic 310 in our MH and it has been uneventful over the last few years. Nice to have the porcelain bowl. Sits higher but that was desirable.
PS I got the Water Saver option, a hose sprayer, and that makes cleaning the bowl much easier.

We have the Sealand Traveler (Dometic 510) and like it. Not sure what's different between it and the 310.... we got the hand sprayer with it too.

The only negative I've found with it is the flush valve isn't real common. You can get a new Thetford valve at many campgrounds, but they never seem to carry the Dometic ones. Camping World has them. Anyway, I broke one once. Actually, I didn't get every drop of water our and it froze, putting a small crack in it. I carry a spare one with me now.

I also don't just blow the lines out with compressed air anymore when I winterize. I do that, but then I run the red RV antifreeze through everything. No more problems since I started doing that. But for whatever reason, position of the valve and shape I suppose, blowing the lines out you can't seem to get every drop of water out of that valve. Then when it gets cold.... Can't speak to if the Thetford is any better in that regard.

I do like the elongated china bowl though

Happy flushing!

I ordered an Aqua Magic V and the first one that came in was shall we say returned before I got it. Amazon was phenomenal as usual and I got the replacement today. What I really do not like is if you turn em upside down, you can look straight through the flange hole and see the bottom of the valve that is in the bowl. Here's the thing - there is no chute to direct the effluent. When I called Thetford they said that's the way it works gravity straight down. I started thinking about boon-docking and not having the trailer straight and the stuff not going directly down the hole. Kinda off putting ... So I am thinking about the Dometic. My two cents.

toilet choice

had a dometic 310 for just over a year. I winterize with compressed air, because in MN ANTI FREEZE FREEZES!!!. Water valve has slow leak....if you read the manual, it says you should DISCONNECT the water input line from the valve and blow it out....didn't see that. I do put antifreeze in the traps to displace the water there. joe in frostbite falls

Annnnnnd the winnner is Dometic 310 in White! Much nicer piece of equipment for a little more than the Thetford. Could not get past Thetford's lack of a "chute" did not want stuff building up inside the bottom half of my commode. The 310 also has a Porcelain bowl. Comfort city.. Now where is that magazine rack......
