The "GEO System" Balck and Grey tank holding tanks

This actually seems to make sense in maintaining your black and grey tanks with out expensive chemicals.

Depends on the going rate for a cup of Dawn detergent and a cup of Calgon water softener. Seems like someone who uses their Airstream regularly could end up paying quite a lot for those simple household items over time.

I'm thinking a cup of each is overkill. You're only treating 30 gallons or so at a time. I've had good results just using one water-soluble Cascade ActionPac (which contains some Dawn) per tankful. Fill the toilet, drop in the ActionPac and let it dissolve, then flush. Good for cleaning the toilet at the same time!
