Post Tedford dump valve

I am trying to get the tedford valve out of my 77 Caravaner , I have the bottom inspection off and all the crap off the top , I see there is a hose clamp next to the tank but I need to know what is on the other side of the valve ? is it glued to/in the joint/pipe ? I think I will have to make the inspection hole bigger also.
