Tank sensors

There has been much offered on tank issues, but little on resolutions. One quick check (diagnosis) on newer models is to swap the wires on the back of the monitor panel between one tank operating correctly and one with no reading or an inaccurate reading. If the tank in question now reads correctly, your monitor panel is good. The problem would be in the wire to the senosr or the sensor itself in the affected tank. As previously mentioned by others, these are pressure sensors.

Good luck,
Larry

Mine just recently stopped monitoring the fresh tank. Was working one minute, then poof, no more fresh tank info.....

I must say this tank sensor system really has been problematic, but the company (tank sensor company) has been fairly good about getting me the support I've needed.

Tank sensors

One of the most common problems yet easily ovelooked is secure connections. Poor connections and moisture/corrision can cause fits. All my electrical work performed is done using "shrink" connectors. They pose the least problems if done right. Intermittent connections open a circuit and can ruin a perfectly planned trip!

Larson schematics

Anyone have the schematics for this board?
I pulled it last night and will try to diagnose at board level...

Thanx, Bill

Looks like the chip is the problem...unforunately it is proprietary and no longer in production (that I can find).
I am going to replace with my own gauges reading directly from the tank out puts.
Does anyone know the range of the outputs?

Thanx, Bill

May have tracked down a monitor panel in a salvage yard...does anyone know if a 92 and 89 are the same?
Really just need the board...

Thanx, Bill
