Tank Indicators on 4 inch (4" 4 in.) Vintage Trailer Supply Grey Tank, '53 Flying Clo

1953 21' Flying Cloud. Complete rebuild.

Trying to install Garnet Seelevel Junior tank indicators on the side of our 4 inch gray tanks from Vintage Trailer Supply.
We've run into a wall. Garnet says that the indicators can be cut to a minimum of "4 inches" however their true "4 inches" is actually more like 4.5. So this leaves us in a conundrum. Do we accept not having any indicators for our gray? Are there any smaller exterior tank indicators? Or other alternatives that we can route to our Garnet Monitor panel?

I just found these, pressure gauge indicators that screw into the piping system. Has anyone had any luck with them?

Anyone with experience with these type of panels or any type of indicators with sucessfull use please leave a note.

Thanks!

I used the SeeLevel gauges on my VTS tanks. Its been a couple of years since I installed them, but it seems as though I just trimmed them down to fit. I talked to their tech support at the time, and they advised staying away from where the sides meet the top and bottom as the plastic is thicker there. As the tank is so shallow, I couldn't really do that, but when I tested them, they seemed to read pretty accurately, so I went on with business.

good luck!
