I got a question. I used the SS for the first time last weekend. I worked well and I seemed to be able to get a lot of "stuff" outta the black tank by aiming the jet back up the pipe and then swiveling out again and waiting. It takes a while but I think it seemed to clean the tank out well. I did the same for the grey to get the little food particles from the sink out. Do you guys use the internal sprayer as well or now that you have an SS just use the SS cleanout maneuver? I want to avoid hooking up multiple freshwater hoses for cleaning purposes if it's not needed.

Hard to imagine the SS flush would be as direct and effective as the tank flush?

Super Trooper. I have the Sewer Solution and I like it. I added a "Y" valve to my wash hose so that I have two 30" ends. I connect one to the SS and the other, with a back-flow preventer, to the AS internal spray connection. That way, I can switch the flow back and forth with any difficulty. Works well for me.

Should have said "without" any difficulty.

I have the same set up. And while I own the SS and like it, I use my regular "Rhino" hose more often than not. The reason is because it is faster.

I am fortunate to have an internal rinser in my black water tank and have found it easier and better at cleaning out the black water tank than the SS. However I am very glad to have the SS and a "backup" because I have been in some situations where the regular hose would not have worked since the AS is low and occasionally you run into RV dumps that are higher than the outlet on the AS.

However if you do not have an internal rinser, using the SS or the "Camco dual flush" is essential in fully cleaning out the black water tank in my opinion.

Hope that helps.

We still use a rhino slinky too.

Faster is good.....

What's gooder is poop dumping at home where faster doesn't matter.

Side benefit...traveling with an almost full black tank makes for a much cleaner tank. Slosh,slosh,dump,dump...
Plus the black tank flusher works a lot better on city water pressure.

Thanks everyone! I have the switching Y valve. I'll just add another hose. I just wanted to avoid having the plumbing side of the trailer look like a refinery!
