Sewer Hose Storage Options

I am aware of the typical 4' diameter PVC RV Sewer Hose Storage Tubes that are mounted below the belly pan on many Airstreams. It is an unfotunate fact that these tubes do not fit the typical Thetford 45 degree elbow sewer hose fitting that came with our Airstreams. Also the typical 90 dgree elbow that can be used to connect to the sewer hookup at a camp site or dump station do not fit in the typical 4" diamter PVC storage tubes. Our new ('94)trailer is equipped with one of these 4" tubes, but the hose with fittings attached won't fit in it. The current short term smelly solution is to store the sewer hose in either the back of our SUV or in a storage compartment in the trailer.

What other options are there for storage of a sewer hose with the Thetford and/or other end 90 degree fittings attached? Does anyone know of a larger diameter storage tube?

I think I have seen an Airstream or two with a storage tube with a larger square box on the end (made if aluminum I think, but I think still attached eventually to a 4" PVC tube). Does anyone know if these are commercially available? Does anyone have them and do they solve the issue of storage of the larger end fittngs. For some reason I think I may have seen these ends in the commercial vendor of an a past WBCCI International Rally. If I am remembering correctly, they were being sold by the same guy (Howard Hull?) that sells the round alumunum tongue jack stands. Can anyone confirm if my memory is correct?

And before anyone mentions it, I do know that I have a possibility of changing the end fittings to fit in the extsting storage tube. I did that on our last trailer (using Valterra fittings and a Valterra to Thetford adapter), but the quality of the fiittings and the hose was poorer than the sewer hose and fittings that came with our new trailer.

In the end, I an just trying to determine if there is a better solution to the one we used on our old trailer. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have an 45 degree elbow from walmart. It fits inside my 4 inch tube with my 20 ft hose attached.

I believe mine is also a 45 degree bend and also fits inside my 4" attached PVC.
