Sewer hose storage?
Can anybody explain to me what they use the under-carraige storage tube for on the Flying Cloud 25FB? It is only 43-inches long/deep, and none of the sewer hose fittings will fit inside the tube. With its location nearby the black- and Gray-water drain, I thought it should be able to contain the hoses.
Our collapsed hose would fit, but for the over-sized fittings?
Fishing poles, broom handles, or what?
Thanks
Newbie Tom

We extended the "sewer" hose tubes so they could hold our flag poles on both trailers.

We haven't found any use for it yet.

My two sewer hoses (a 15' and 10' that I keep attached to each other) fit perfectly in my FC 23 storage tube. Of course the 45 degree angle adapter for the dump inlet doesn't fit, so that goes in my bumper compartment after getting an extra rinse.

I use it to store my Rhinoflex sewer hose. I do need to disassemble two parts to get the hose in. (The clear elbow fits in the tube while attached) The other two parts go in a Ziplock and ride in the side storage with the leveling blocks. A bit of a hassle but don't want the stinky slinky anywhere else.

I added two longer under carriage tubes. They come in varying length, Airstream installs the shortest one. Camping world has then online. The longer 60" tube works great for the sewer hose. I did use a Dremel to grind some plastic off exterior of the clear drain extension so it fits in there too.
To attach additional tubes to the underside of the trailer get some 1/8" x 1 - 1/2" aluminum flat bar at the hardware store, cut into 2" lengths, drill 4 - 1/8" holes in each corner and pop rivet to the underside belly pan at locations where screws the new storage tube will attach. Don't screw directly into the belly pan as that metal is too thin to reliably hold screws in place.

Some brands of sewer hoses fit, some don't.
I have cut the offending lugs of one brand to get them to fit inside the tub.
BUT...I have also lost two complete hoses when the cap comes off going down the highway.
Regards,
JD

Did the same. Also added a short 36" one on curb side by the stairs to keep mashmellow roasting supplies.

I keep a still-brand-new hose in there as an available extension OR just in case the queen comes by and I need to really make things fancy.
