I have a 76 excella 31 foot center bath and my black and grey water valve leaks when in the closed position. There are two openings on the tank suport which I removed and I can see the valves. Can I change these valves with out dropping the tanks ? Looks impossible to me. Thanks for any help.
If it is like the 88 models the answer is yes. You can buy a rebuild kit from outdoors mart. The valve is probably welded to the tank. So what you do is take the valve body apart and put in new seals. There is a short rubber piece in the Y of the abs past the valve that allows taking it apart. On the 88 models there are no holes in the tank support unless someone has cut a hole to service the valves. Sounds like yours has been done once already. Kits are under $20 each. The job actually is not that bad once you get the trailer set so you can get under it. Expensive job at Camping World and at Airstream. It would be good to do a through flush of the tank first.
