Risk of filling black tank 100%

We are in a dry camping site for a while that is extremely tough to get in an out of. Therefore, we are going to attempt to go without dumping tanks while we are here for a while. I’m wondering if there is a decent, leak proof seal between the toilet and the black tank on newer Airstreams. If it is sealed well, I’ll just keep an eye on things and if we get to the top of the tank, I’ll deal with dumping at that time.

I’m just not sure if Airstream has a gasketed or sealed connection or it is just a gravity drop into the tank and if it fills to the toilet level it will seep into subfloor or something.

Any knowledge on this is appreciated.

The problem with filling the black tank to 100% capacity is that you're likely to fill it to 101% capacity or higher on that last flush. Meaning of course that you'll have a toilet bowl full of something that can't be flushed, that will slosh around (and possibly slosh over) as you move the trailer to dump the tank.

If your black tank capacity isn't up to par for the location and duration of your camping, the obvious choice is a "Blue Boy" tote. Dump the tank into the tote, and tow the tote to a dump station, without moving the trailer.

The toilet has a simple gasket seal to the floor, was it tested? No, but sounds like you might.
That is not a camping trip I want to be on.
Go Old School and take a shovel and paper out in the woods, or about 200 paces from camp.

Easy enough to test it. Use the flush system to fill the tank to 100% and then take a look down the toilet. Do it a couple times and you'll see how variable the sensor can be.

Also, level (or not) makes a difference with the sensors.
