Tamara,
You might get lucky and find that it is only a fitting instead of the tank. Have you eliminated the possibility of bad waste valves, toilet paper preventing it from closing, etc.?

David,
Thanks for the note of encouragement. The trailer is still at the former owner's storage space until this weekend, so I have not had a chance to have a look for myself yet. He indicated that during winterizing at some point he was flushing water into the tank and it leaked, so he assumed a replacement was necessary. But since he never really looked I still uphold a small hope that it is merely a bad fitting or connection somewhere. But if not, then a new tank will be ordered and installed as soon as we can get to it. I'll post back once I see what is really going on.
