Your tanks look like they are made of polyethylene, in which case you will have a really hard time finding any kind of adhesive that will stick to them permanently. You might find someone with the capability to do plastic welding that might successfully repair a crack, but I expect that if the tank is cracking in one place, another crack is not far behind.

You might want to replace that grey tank anyway, just for the sake of getting something larger. Vintage Trailer Supply now offers grey tanks that are specifically sized to fit in the frame compartments of 70's trailers.

good luck!

I swear by J B Weld. Regarding the water tank, same material I had cracks in the drain line connection and the line connection to the water pump, double coat of J B Weld, DONE! Worked great!

Since it's already out, suck up the cost and replace. You don't want to have to pull it apart again a year or two from now to fix another crack.

After all the time and money you are investing in your restoration, why go cheap on the holding tanks? Even if you did manage to fix the existing cracks, it's still going to be an old piece of plastic a long way down it's a finite life.
