New Black-Water Flush Method

Hello all (this may not be a "new" method to everyone)...

I have been looking for a bayonet mount black-water valve for a while. I just found the one pictured below (Valterra T58 Twist-On Waste Valve) at Amazon.

In the past, I would lift the drain hose after draining the black water tank and open the grey water valve to let some of the grey water run into the black water tank. Then I would close the grey water tank valve and drain the black water tank again. Then repeat one or two more times until there isn't enough water left in the grey tank to do any good.

Now I just have to close the new valve instead of lifting the drain hose. Works great!!

Another benefit... when boondocking we always fill the grey water tank before the black water tank. Now I can transfer some water from the grey water tank into the black water tank.

Flush King makes a discharge mounted valve that has a water hose inlet. This allow's you to shut the valve and back flush the tanks to get better flow to remove the "stuff". Works nicely. I like your idea also.
