Diverting the thread slightly

How often do ya'll run across dump stations that do not have a water source for rinsing? And when you do, what is your strategy at that point?

I have run into waterless dump stations. The strategy is to dump, carefully of course, gloves on, and leave. What else can you do? You could get a jug of water from your system and rinse with it, but I've never seen anyone do that, not that I hang around dump stations.

Always have some fresh water left in the trailer for washing hands after the dump. Then use shower hose to run a few gallons into the head to have some water in the black tank to slosh around while traveling to next site. Also good for those roadside emergencies.

Also if you have an outside shower head you can rinse down slinky with that or just wait for next site.

I used the outside shower to do just that. It's conveniently located on the Int'l 27FB.

And I found out that by running the water hot through the outside shower fixture, it made the plastic so soft that it was really easy to get it all back into the storage bin. It was as limp as hot spaghetti.

You won't have to run, you'll be propelled.

Isn't this why we have a sink on board with hot / cold running water. After dumping, gloves or no gloves, wash up inside if there's no H2O outside.
