Question Monitor Panel Gone Bad

I am a first time RV owner and can't believe how lucky I am to own a 16' Bambi. But man, have I got a lot to learn! My Bambi, named Beulah, is a 2001. All systems seem to work pretty well. The main issue seems to be the monitor for the Black Water. It was showing 2/3rd full when when got her. After running a few gallons into the toilet, the red light came on indicating a full black water tank. We did a pump out at the RV park and drained the Black and Gray water tanks. However, the sensor light for Black water never went below 2/3rd. So, we came home and did a visual down the toilet with a flashlight and stick. (not so pretty) But we could see the bottom of the tank and it looked empty. I poured several ounces of Digester down the toilet and flushed water in toilet until the red light came back on. The tank isn't full, but the monitor panels says it is. I'm assuming this means the sensors are off. Can anyone suggest what I might do next to get them working properly? I'm hoping the digester might "eat" away anything that's blocking them. But I don't even know where they are and how they actually do their sensing. I eagerly await your reply. Thanks in advance for helping this Bambi Newbie out of a bind!
Sincerely, Gina in Seattle
