macerator pump

Anybody have recommendations as to what brand of macerator pump to buy for my 1995 Excella?
I plan to pump to a holding tank in my pickup and transporting the waste to a dump station without having to move my rig.
There seems to be a ton of these pumps on the market, so any suggestions
Will be appreciated.
Thanks everybody, Bigal

AS used a Thetford 70904 on my '2012 Avenue. The rubber impeller on macerators seems to fail after about 5 yrs. and even though the motor was good and replacement impellars are available, it was just not the kind of job I wanted to do. So I replaced mine two years ago with a Thetford 70224 with gray water bypass.

Besides the bypass feature, the replacement did not have the extended snout (see picture of old one) and was open at the bayonet fitting. It works fine and I don't understand why some have the extension that to me would restrict the flow of solids into the macerator.

So either type should work and there a cheaper brands for $100 on Ebay and Amazon. I would say get the most compact model so it clears the area where you need to install it.

Are you thinking about “Sewer Solution” type systems?

https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-SS01.../dp/B00CCYWJQK

“Sewer Solution” mentions here on AirForums: https://www.google.com/search?q=Sewe...=airforums.com

Folks seem to use them for all kinds of situations including yours.

Good luck,

Peter

By cheaper brands, I was referring to macerator pumps other than Thetford that are marketed by shurflo and others here:

I believe only a true macerator pump will do what the OP wants.
