Is this a Thetford connection?

Hello - 1964 Tradewind question:

This is what is on our black water tank. It measures 3 3/8" in diameter.

We have had trouble getting the sewer hose to seal properly. I did some reading and then ordered the Thetford to Valterra universal adapter, and that didn't fit quite right either.

Do I need a special hose? Some other sort of adapter? Help, please!

How is that connection connected up stream? If it is just a hose clamp or if you have enough distance to get a fernco, http://www.fernco.com/plumbing/flexible-couplings, fitting in there I would just upgrade to a current connection.

Does not appear to be a Thetford fitting.

I've never seen a fitting like that. I suspect the best thing to do would be to find a modern fitting with the same pipe size, so you can cut that off and glue the new fitting over it.

What's the other leg of the "Y" for?

Looks like a thetford valve, but not sure about connection. Look at Inland rv website to see if you can identify the valve.

I had a 64 overlander: there was a metal 90 adapter. Check ebay or craig's list. Or put a new adapter on your valve.
