Does anyone know the approximate thickness of the blackwater and freshwater tanks used in the 70's?
I am thinking about replacing my control panel with a new tank reading device, and the wall thickness can't be more than 3/8". It utilizes an external attachment on the tanks, 2 wires per tank, and a simple installation.
I'm sure someone knows!

Thanks! I didn't think it was near 3/8" but I haven't ever removed any of the fittings to get a closer look.
If you are interested, here is a link to the tank sensor that I am looking at. They have ones that read LP gas and battery also, totally eliminating the old circuit board in vintage trailers, and with no invasive procedures needed on the tanks.
I got some pricing for the Sensa Tank. It is $130. It comes with foil sensors for attaching to the tanks. Ribbon cables to sending unit, and an RJ-45 jack to run one cable to the panel. That and a simple 12v hook up. They also have a model to hook to the LP gas.
