Holding tank probe replacement
Has anyone replaced the standard holding tanks level indicator probes with the Horst Miracle Probes? Their website is www.rvprobes.com
If so, I would like to know the difficulty of installation and if they are as accurate as advertised.

I am a little surprised no one has tried this product with all the comments mentioning faulty readings on their monitors. I plan on installing them on my tanks, and I will post my results if they make any difference, and difficulty of installation.

Looks like an interesting product for Coach RV but not worth the effort to install in an Airstream traile because of the belly pan. Coaches generally are used with longer periods between dumping and thus have a greater need for tank level indicators. As a trailer owner I never look at any tank indicator other than the LP gas.

Horst Miracle Probes
Attachment 102275
Before on gray water.
After installation on gray water.
Didn't get after pictures of black water.
I received the Horst Miracle Probes last week and installed all but the full level probe on the black waste tank, which is next to impossible to gain access to. Its under the built up box that the toilet sits on. All the other probes were fairly easy to get to,but I would recommend a right angle drill because of the tight spots on a couple of probes. Before the install I was receiving a 1/3 to 2/3 full reading on the black water tank and a periodically 1/3 light reading on the gray when both tanks were empty. After the switch both tankli ghts read empty. Time will tell if their accuracy continues to perform.. I will try to post before and after pictures, I tried to install the new probes right next to the old ones at the same level height on tanks.

Did a test this weekend by filling both grey and black holding tanks with water. Monitor panel registered each level while filling to full mark, so it appears that so far probes are working correctly. After emptying, tanks are registering empty. Pleased with the results so far.

That's good to hear. Looks like a quality product, which my class B needs desperately. As you mentioned, tight spots could be a problem.
