Grey water tank dump valve.

Anyone have a suggestion or a fix for a stiff or difficult to open and close grey water tank dump valve? The black water dump valve is smooth and easy to open and close, however, the grey water dump valve takes some effort to do the same. This is on a less than two year old 25fb.

You can try a bottle of dump valve lube, or a cup of liquid clothes soap and a gallon or so of water.

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

On our trailer, one of the valve handles - I think the black water - does not have a straight pull on the valve, the operating rod has a double ninety degree bend behind the bracket that is just behind the handle so as to offset the pull. This makes it much harder to pull the valve using the handle.

I generally reach in behind and grab the rod at a point where it allows me to get a straight pull on the valve and then it works fine. Not a good design IMHO.

Just wondering if that might be the problem that you are having.

Thanks to all. I will try these and let you know the outcome. I'm assuming that on one suggestion, you are saying to dump a gallon of water with either a cup of liquid clothes soap or dump valve lube into the grey water tank which will lube the valve when you dump it out?
