Grey and Black tanks

Getting ready to order grey and black tanks for my 55 Safari and noticed that there are polyethylene and abs tanks. Tanks where fittings are high speed spun to the tank or you can use rubber grommets with silicone bathtub caulking. My question is what is the best way to go.......thanks

I went with the roto-molded poly tanks and the grommets. Mine were manufactured by Ameri-Kart and I bought them through PPL . I picked the tanks that would work for me from the Ameri-Kart catalog and called PPL for the price. These tanks were MUCH cheaper than the other alternatives I checked out and PPL had the best price.

toastie,

I took a look at the BDRV site and I will tell you I paid significantly less than their prices for my tanks from PPL.

I too need to order tanks, both fresh water and holding tanks. I have space for two fresh water tanks that are 24 x 23 x 6 and the space I have for a grey water tank is 24 x 35 x 9. I plan on the black water tank to be above floor or combined with the grey. My question is, how much clearance should I allow around the tank when ordering tanks. Would an inch be too much? How much clearance do the sensors need? Should I insulate the tanks? Any other things to consider?

Toastie,

I have dry-fit my tanks but have not used them yet. I am happy with the tanks so far and see no reason for that to change.

I'm glad you found the same great prices I did.
