Gray Tank Level Indicator

I am in the process installing two gray tanks to my 1970 Safari. Before buttoning it all up, I am considering adding Some screw in sensor probes to monitor tank levels. I have the thermostat wire that was used for the original black water tank that runs to the control panel at the front of the coach. I have tried to complete the circuit assuming the black wire is ground and no sign of life at the control panel. I have replaced the bulbs so that not the issue. The fuse at the panel seems to be good also. The power light is illuminated and the water pump light works as well.

So here are my questions....has anyone troubleshot this system and gotten it to function properly? What do the two bulbs indicate? Is there an after market gauge that I can use to monitor tank quantities with the screw in sensor probes? Is there a complete tank monitoring system that I should consider. What have others done? Wait until the shower overflows?😁

Thank you for the help!

No response, so I will be brief on what I have found:

1) I have not got around to troubleshooting the panel. Maybe in the spring. I believe the bulbs indicate half and full because the probes were mid and high level on the original tank.
2) Still working on and after market gauge for seeing the tank levels. There is a thread where they a building a prototype Airstream Central Control panel that will include tank levels. It is very is a link
3) Here art the two complete systems that people have used with good results. The sensors stick on the side of the tank so no holes in your new tank! My issue is they are spendy and I think you would need to fish the wires up to the control panel.
