Dump Valve Will Not Open

Hello board,

I cannot open the black water dump valve on by 74 Argosy 28. The grey tank is a cinch. Any suggestions? I have tried soaking with just hot water and some dish soap to try and free it to no avail.

If you can get to the valve body, try loosening the screws slightly that holds the two halfs together, spray liberally with silicone spray , let it set for a while and try it again. You might have to cut an access hole in the belly skin to gain access. This is not that big a job and can be patched to work good as new. Good Luck.
