dump hose connector

Past weekend went camping for first time in my '67 Tradewind. Found out my dump hose was not long enough to reach the mark so went to Walmart and bought new hose. Got back to trailer and found the connector on the new hose does not fit my dump valve properly. Is there a particular size or model cap/lid that I need for my '67 model? The new ones in stores seem thinner and not deep enough to catch and turn on my pipe. Thanks all.

Had the same problem and had to go to a RV parts dept to get the correct match up.

adapter

Same here,
I have to use an adapter on the outlet to fit the dump hose. It came with the trailer, and I have not seen one anywhere since. I would like to buy a spare one, if someone knows where it is available.

Well, first of all you could always use the connector that was on your old too short hose to hook up to the new hose.

Second choice is that you get a Thetford connector at a decent RV store (Camping World may or may not be decent - I make no representations - but they do have them in stock here). The Thetford connectors are usually WHITE as opposed to the other stuff that's black or blue...

Third choice is that you can order Valterra Universal Adaptor T05-2285VP "Converts Thetford System to Standard Waste Caps and Hose Adaptors".

I also bought a "Sewer Solution" and for that you'll need the "Universal Adaptor". Camping World did not have these in stock, and I ordered three of them from some RV parts outlet back east - do a search here and you'll find it.

While I was out at the trailer today replacing a bulb, I found a spare Thetford adapter still in the original packaging in my spare parts bin. I purchased it at Camping World.

It is a Thetford 02593 Bumper Hose Adapter, 3" Hose to Thetford Termination Valve, Fits into 4" Standard Bumper.

Check www.thetford.com

They have them at Coast RV in Agoura off the 101 FWY.at Kanan Rd.

Mine is made by M & M Hose Co. part #05-2285 -at least that's what's stamped on it and I bought it there.
