When you step on the toilet pedal, wht do you see? Daylight? If so it may be a "Park Model" which means it needs to be hooked up to full-hookups in order to use legally. Although I thought park models were pretty much a thing of the 50's...it could have been modified by a PO. Back in the day, they would dig a "golpher hole" to dump into if they didn't have tanks. My guess is that you do have a black tank, but not a grey or "wash water" tank, they weren't standard until 73/74.

If you don't see daylight, it probably has a tank and it's in the back below the toilet area. There is usually an access panel in the back of your trailer to access the dump valves ~

Up until maybe 1974 airstreams typically did not have a grey water tank as standard. They had only a black water tank. On my 1973 31' unit the original installation had a relatively small black water tank above the floor and directly underneath the toilet. The drain from the black water tank had a valve at its outlet and then connected to the drain point that included the grey water outlet. The general idea was that grey water would either drain out on the ground, into a protable tote or need to be connected to the drain systems in an RV park. The black water would either be dumped periodically into the tote, the RV hook up or at a dump station.

There are a number of threads in this forum that discuss adding grey water tanks. You could find out more information by doing a search for something like grey water.

tanks a lot..

hi- should be able to follow the hose-fill inlet on exterior, it probably enters into the coach inside a kitchen cabinet, then you'll see where it leads to the tank- in my '72, right smack dab in the middle of the kitchen floor. You should also be able to see it by looking underneath the coach, a square area. You don't have a waste tank??
