Caravel Tank Replacement

I have a 65 Caravel that I have to replace the black water tank . Looks to be cracked along the top . Also at that time I would replace the valve and fitting . Does any one have any experience with this or any pointers . Is it possible to replace with out pulling the whole shower out ?
Also source for new tank and hardware .

Thanks , Jeff

Jeff.

We have that tank. It's made with fiberglass.

What ever you decide. Replace the old tank. It will only cause you grief if you try to fix it. By now they are very brittle. Trust me, I dropped mine when I took it out. It nearly shattered. I was replacing it anyway but was surprised to see how brittle it really was.
