Black water tank/sticky valve

I have a sticky valve in the black water tank Any suggestions on how to correct other than replacing
I have been air streaming for some time but it seems there is always something going wrong. Am I alone or is this just part of RV'ing

Pull it out...take it apart....clean it.
Buff the contact surfaces with 600-800 grit
sandpaper for smooth slide action. Check
for burrs along the slide path. Your 1989
is 20 years old. It does seem that repairs
are part of the deal.

Thetford makes a lube that you might want to try.

Thetford RV Toilet Chemicals - Bowl Cleaner, drain valve lubricant, digester

No promises but I used this on my Hi-Lo that I kept for 14 years. It never got the valve to 100% but it did ease up the operation. Some holding tank chemicals also contain a lube so you might look at that also for future use.

Thanks to everyone. I will keep working with the suggestions until I find a solution.

Thanks again
