black water tank source?

Have a 68 Caravel that has a crack or two in the blackwater tank. Have it out and think it's worth buying a new one (with new dumpvalve) since I don't want to pull this out again.

Found one source for made-to-fit replicas. These folks have been very helpful to me but I have to believe there might be another less expensive source? I've seen the ABS tanks, but can't tell if they'd work. Any experience out there?

stock tanks

Ameri-Kart Corp. makes dozens and dozens, maybe hundreds of stock sizes.

Call KAREN at 1-800-232-0847. She can fax you drawings of models that are close to the size you need.

I paid $95.00 plus shipping, total $129, for a 14 gallon black tank from them.

Black Tank

I am about to install a new black tank into my '66 Tradewind. Now, mine is a rear bath. I got my new tank from <inlandrv.com>. It was very pricey at $445. But I found none anywhere else. If you use the Search button and write in Black Tank you will find a lot of information. There are a few Forum members that made their own from fiberglass using the old tank for a mold. Best Wishes.
Neil.

Depending on stock, Inland may have one that fits. The vent won't be cut out because the tank may fit several years. And yes it will be spendy. So even a new one may need work when you get it.

I would suggest looking at repairs if you are looking for less expensive. Mostrepairs can be done fairly inexpensive. And it doesn't have to look pretty because no one is really going to see it.
