Anyone have experience with one of these?

Seems to be a good idea. However, thinking of some Airstream models, there are two tank vents, gray and black, so there would two units needed with twice the power consumption..

Do you smell stink?... AFTER repairing the factory vent install we have been stink free.

If you have a stink there may be a problem.

As far as the vent fan goes I prefer KISS...

Black tank vent fan

I get an odor sometimes when flushing. It's especially noticeable if the foot pedal isn't snapped back right away. I replaced the vent cap with the Siphon 360 hoping that would help, but no change. This happens with no fans running. I wonder if it's because my toilet sits directly over the black tank?

We were getting a smell we thought was coming from the black tank but turned out to be the gray. When the Fantastic Fan is on we make sure to close the vanity sink drain. We've flushed out the gray tank several times, which helped, but we still close that vanity drain.

In our storage compartment there is a device on the gray water line from the kitchen sink. It looks to be some kind of vacuum break maybe??? Since it sits right under the bed we get a whiff of gray water tank smell from time to time at night. I'm going to insulate around the PVC pipe better to keep the smell from coming into the AS. (You can see interior light where the pipe goes through the wall. The pipe is visible inside the trailer between the bed and the shower wall.)

Sounds like you need a new air admittance valve. If you insulate and seal up around it, then the valve won't be able to do its job. Fortunately it's a cheap and easy fix.

Used to use olive.. but 1/4 cup of Crisco in the bowl over the Winter has kept the seal subtle and the flap closing.

Stopped putting RV A/F in the bowl 3 years ago after developing a leak & replacing the valve assembly.

Great! Thanks for the information. Are there more than just the one in the storage area?

Looking at Amazon there are a lot of different brands, numbers, etc. Is this something that is stamped on the valve itself? I have a plumbing schematic for the 23' and neither it nor the owner's manual lists that part.

Haven't had trouble with the flap closing, but that's a great idea.

For the air admittance valve I'd just remove the existing one and take it into Lowes or Home Depot and get whatever they have with the same diameter fittings.

Thanks, I'll add it to my list of things that need work (sigh)

I replaced both of my vent covers with 360 Siphon RV Fume Extractor and they work really well. When our Airstream was in storage you could always smell the black tank after each use outside the Airstream. I even noticed it camping once. When I replaced the vent with the Extractor the smell after use when completely away. Highly recommended. It does what it says it does.

Similar is this one, with a solar-powered vent fan…

I put on the Siphon 360's as well and they appear to be a good design, but aren't cutting it for some reason.

That solar vent looks like an interesting option as well.
