Black Tank Hold

How long is reasonable to leave the black tank sitting before dumping? The 75% rule of thumb makes sense - if you're not going out on another trip for a month or so is there chance of waste solidifying?

Even if the tank is 1/2 full I would add water, drive around then dump the tank before parking. Then add a gallon or 2 of water and some chemical. Just to keep the waste dump seal wet.
