black tank fitting
The attached pics show my black tank from a 1973 Safari. This tank sits on top of the floor. The original thetford valve sits right below the tank and attached to a fitting that is firmly attached to the tank. I am told by VTS that this fitting should come off and I should be able to put a Valterra flange in there to convert to a valterra valve. I tried twist this off, pull this off, but just cannot do it. I don't want to be too aggressive and ruin the tank. Any ideas?
