Unhappy Black and grey

I have a 1974 airstream sovereign. The waste system had been pulled before I got the trailer, any ideas on how to rebuild the system? How big the black and grey water tanks should be. I'm told they dont make the tanks for a 74 anymore, how different can they be from the new ones?

Here's a shot from the 1974 Service Manual, showing what was there. Did you check with the previous owner just to make sure he kept none of the parts for it?

I know the black tank is still available, not sure about the grey tank.

The grey tank is ten US gallons, and the black tank is 25 US gallons.

Ok I have the manuals on the way. The people I bought it from had it for 6 months and were really just selling it so they knew nothing about it. It had spent some time as a rental, and came from the pacific north west.
I need to make a new belly pan and replace the tanks. Dillons in mesa Arizona told me the tanks were no longer made but they had a resorce who could make them and had a black water tank already made for 775$, if you know where to get them cheaper I'm all ears.

76 Argosy getting new tanks

I am getting ready to put new (old) gray and black tanks in as mine came without them when I bought it. I know it had them originally but don't know how to sequence. I think the gray drains through the black but not sure how???

See my response to your post in the other thread. The diagram above, by the way, does NOT represent how Argosy tanks were laid out.
