Your 1977 Argosy Minute 6.0 should have a grey water tank, which should allow you to use the shower without being connected to a sewer dump.

My daughter had a '77 Minuet 6.0 Metre and it did NOT have a grey tank. As a matter of fact, I thought it had a leak in the plumbing, since she always had water under her trailer. I, being the Airstream guru of the family, knew that Airstream started installing grey tanks in 1974. Well, I was WRONG! How did I find out?? I tore into the belly pan & saw for myself that there isn't a grey tank & the shower water comes right out the valve. So, if you're staying in a place that doesn't let you dump grey water on the ground, you'll have to get yourself a blue boy :-)

My 78 minuet 6.0 has an above the floor gray tank in the bathroom closet for the sinks. The shower is not attached to a gray tank which would have to be below the floor. The drain plumbing under your shower goes to the dump valve. When showering with the valve closed the plumbing fills up quickly with approximately 1 1/2 gallons of water.
My research has found this to be the norm for all 6.0 minuets.
There is room under the floor for a gray tank but requires to remove the belly pan.

I made the assumption that since my '79 Argosy Minuet 6.0 has a grey tank that your '77 Argosy Minuet 6.0 would have a grey tank. It sounds like yours does not have one.

Same on my '77' 6 meter Minuet. I keep a bucket below the drain to catch the shower water. Then depending on where I am camped it either goes into the campground toilet, one of my holding tanks or on to the ground if grey water is ok on the ground in that location.

I had forgotten that our trailer did not have a grey water tank. We had traveled in it extensively in the early 70's when I was growing up but at that time grey water just went on the ground if you were not connected to city sewer. There was even a marketing brochure back then showing an AS on the beach with the sewer line going into a cover over a hole dug in the beach(!). Ah well those days are long gone now thank goodness. So, on our shakedown cruise last year after brining the trailer up to Colorado and having some repairs done to it we ended up in a campsite in Cotopaxi without city sewer connect. We were alarmed that there was significant water on the ground after doing dishes or using the bath sink in the morning. So, I took off the cover for the drain / black water outlet and sure enough there is an inlet into the sewer outlet connected after the release valve for the black water. We ran water into the sink and sure enough it flowed right out the sewer pipe as grey water. So - now I make darn sure I have city sewer at the campsite we camp in or we just don't go.
