Question '76 Argosy have vent pipes at roof (nicro vent install idea)

Hello,

Are there holding tank vent pipe(s) sticking out from the roof of a 1976 26' Argosy?

I came across a thread about the Nicro solar vent and I was wondering if myself (a newbie) or the restoration person I'm hiring to work on my newly purchased 1976 26' Argosy could 'jury rig' this kind of vent onto the end of a holding tank vent pipe.

I can't see this for myself because the restoration guy has the rv for several weeks and I've already bugged him enough with my calls for other things.

I want to put on the solar vent because I also want to install a Nature's Head marine toilet.

When in the trailer before the guy towed it away, I briefly saw some black pipes coming out of the floor next to the electrical box in the bathroom. I assumed one of those is the black water vent pipe right? If so I would plan to hook up the vent tubing from the NH to access hole (for a lack of a term) on that black pipe and have the solar vent suck out the fumes instead of wiring up the little computer fan that is in the NH to push the air from the NH up through the tubing.

If there's no vent pipes coming out of the roof, then where is the opening the black water tank vent pipe would come out of?

There more than likely are 2 vent pipes coming out through the roof.

One for the black water tank, and one for the gray water tank

By the way, the gaskets under those covers only last 2 to 3 years, and should be replaced, or at least checked out, to save yourself a water leak problem.

There are 3 vent stacks on my 68 Trade Wind. One on the curb side for the black tank and 2 on the street side. On the street side on is for the shower and the other vents the kitchen sink.

Question are these vents just plastic tubing?

Thank you both for this info.
Two more ques:

1. Are there any threads here on how to replace those gaskets for the vent pipes?

2. So are these pipes just tubing sticking out without any coverings that might allow me to try and place that solar vent on it?

I have tried and tried and couldn't find any pics on Google for these type of vent pipe on the old Airstreams. I tried several different phrasing.

great suggestion from Andy an Inland Rv to replace these ... water was pouring down this pipe in the rain .. a very inexpensive fix .. new rubber gasket and sealant
