'73 Overlander Galvanized Box Housing Black Tank

This past hunting season, while towing my '73 27' Overlander from Cordele, Ga to Newberry, FL, the galvanized box and steel angle iron supporting the black tank gave up the ghost. Threads I've found discusses in most cases the box is too far gone to get good measurements. Although this one is rough, I was able to pull a good measurement down every line for anyone who needs a reproduction from a local sheet metal shop. Hope this helps. Anyone interested in any other pics during this repair, let me know.

What is the opinion on replacing the black tank itself? It appears to be in good shape, no leaks, no cracks...

Does your '73 have black and grey tanks?

I'm doing a shell off on my '74 Overland and it has black & grey tanks.
The pans are shot and I will have to fabricate new ones. Just wondering what you did with yours.

I reused my black tank; had to rebuild the sloped foam underneath from Styrofoam and had a local heating and air shop make a galvanized pan to size.

This is all that was left of my pan. The PO had screwed on a stainless steel sheet as a replacement for the belly pan under the tank which kept the whole rusted mess from falling on the ground.
