70's AS black tank sensors replace?
Ok we have our black tank pulled on our 25' 1970 trade wind. How do I test the water level sensors and or how to replace with new?

I called seelevel told them what I had. They told me what I needed. Price was reasonable. Great product!

They have good customer service also. I called them after I received the system as my grey water tanks were 4" in depth and you could only cut down the sensors in the kit to 4 1/2". So they exchanged one sensor for one that could be cut to 4"

I had asked them a while back, and they told me that 4 1/2 was the shortest they could go. (I have 2 of the 16gallon vts tanks...since I bought them, they've come out with a 5" model, and I was thinking of upgrading one of my tanks, mainly so I could use the see-level. A few more gallons of grey capacity is always welcome, too, but its secondary!
So, they must have a newer model sensor?

I'm waiting for a flight at a airport right now so I'll get the p/n for you when I get back, but I believe you can cut the 5" down to 4" the 12" could only be cut down to 4 1/2". Maybe it was a 6"that could've cut down, I can't remember

Right, I remember now. They also say that you need to leave 1/4" or so on the bottom and top of the tank wall, as the plastic gets thicker there...and the VTS tanks aren't even quite 4" (mine measure 3 7/8ths). So...that's why I was going to just go for the newer tank...maybe sell the other one on the classifieds, if anyone wants a bargain and can accept my drain/vent locations, or drill their own.
I still need the other 4"/original size vts tank for its shorter length(width?) , because my shower drain/p-trap needs to drop into the same frame bay, so I can't consume the entire space with tank.
