'64 Overlander Sewer Connection

There are several old threads on this topic but no real-world solutions:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f444/1964-overlander-dump-line-66455.html

A friend of mine recently purchased a 64 Overlander and needs to connect a sewer hose to dump the black water tank.
The fitting is similar to the one on my 64 Bambi ll and appears to be an oddball in terms of connection type and diameter. I was able to reuse the exsting aluminum elbow piece that came with my trailer and attach it to a modern sewer hose. Unfortunately this part is miising from his trailer. Anyone have one they are willing to sell or have any other suggestions?

I would suggest grinding off the bayonet ears and cementing a Valterra bayonet adapter in place. Valterra makes a bayonet that is designed to fit into a 3" fitting. The inside of it may be just the right size to fit over the outside of the 1964 part, possibly with a little filing.

If it is the same as the Thetford valve on a '63 , I still have two of the elbows. I fiber glassed a new Valterra valve into the tank and no longer need them.

That's a standard Thetford outlet.

Sorry, but Airstream used thousands of that fitting on every trailer since the early 60"s.

Thetford, is the only company, that has always used white sewer connections.
