1967 tradewind 24ft

I'm looking at a 1967 trade wind 24' to purchase. Did this model come with a separate grey and black water tank? Also, is it possible to purchase and install gauges for levels on the fresh water tank as well as the holding tank(s)?

no grey tanks; they didn't become standard until '74...for some time after that, they were extremely small.

you can add tank level indicators.

No factory install in 67 but a grey tank was put on my 68tw below the belly pan just aft of the rear wheels. So you can still have one w/out too much trouble

Thank you both above...I am going for one last inspection today but am pretty set on purchasing the 67 TW. Any suggestions on where in the Tampa, FL area to have tank/guage work done, or any other unique work that needs to be done?

dont really know anyone in that area. Some other tips, make sure you have no broken windows or get ready to spend some money the curved glass is expensive and the window operators are very hard to find. You will probably need axles. Also open the rear access door and check the floor esp close to the edges, if it is extensively rotted get ready for a job.

Have fun and good luck

Kevin.

The replacement glass for the 66, 67 and 68 trailers, is "not" expensive.

That glass costs about 1/3 of what current typical glass costs, especially for the 1969 to 2005 coaches.

Then, in order to keep the cost down, it's necessary to purchase over 100 to 150 pieces of each size, each time.
