Which Water Supply Inlet to Use?

My trailer has 2 fresh water inlets. The one that has always been used is the inlet at the rear bumper. The one that has never been used is the underbelly hose reel next to the underbelly electrical umbilical wheel. I asked my dad years ago why he did not use the underbelly hose reel and he said that was only to be used for hooking in to another trailer's water supply when at a rally. I don't know if that is accurate. I thought about using the hose reel on my last trip but decided against it as the hose looks old and I didn't want to chance a water leak from an old gasket or blown hose. Those of you who have both inlets what do you do?

Dougsale Either connection will work. Both should have a check or one way valve on them so water will not flow out of one if the other is used. Once you hook up and turn on the water make sure the check valve is working and no water comes out of the other connection. I always used the hose reel because it was very easy to put away the hose to travel.
