Which Moen Kitchen Faucet Is This?

I've seen other theads indicating Moen has great customer service so I plan to call them tomorrow. However, I don't know the model number of the faucet. I've attached some pictures. The faucet is original to a 1992 Classic.

Any ideas on model number?

I need the on/off cartridge and the circular spring that holds up the faucet neck when it's extended.

Thanks, Lucius

Can't help with the model but.....could you email them and include the picture? I have dealt with them in the past and they are very good to work with.

Good suggestion, another choice is going to a plumbing supply store with pictures , the parts you need or take your 1992 classic there (I'm sure they would like to look at it).

The on/off cartridge is a standard item. You can get them everywere. Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart.

Thanks for the comments. I contacted Moen this morning and sent the pictures to them. I still don't know the model number but the customer service rep referred to this as a "riser" faucet. It's been retired but they have the on/off cartridge in stock and are sending it for free since I was willing to go with regular shipping. The garder spring (think garder belt) was not in stock but will be sent at a later date.

Customer service was very helpful. I'm glad there were several comments on this forum to suggest that I contact them directly.

If I get frustrated with the low water flow before I receive the free replacement it's good to know I can simply buy the part at the home center. For this particular valve body the cartridge is the 1225/1200 series. Approximately $15 - 20 for the original Moen replacement. Less $ if you go with the generic replacement.

Thanks again.

We returned from our trip yesterday and the Moen parts were in the mail as promised.

Instructions for the valve replacement seem straightforward assuming I can break it loose with the little plastic tool they provided. Otherwise I may find myself at the hardware store to buy one of the valve body removal tools.

The new garter spring looks like it will fix my problems with the difficult to lift spout. My spring has definitely seen better days. However, I think the Moen instructions leave a little to be desired for installing this part. I'll do what they suggest but I think that will have to be combined with a little hope and a prayer to get the spring and spout re-inserted.

If I have time I'll post some pictures but it may be a few weeks as we store our trailer at a remote site.

FYI - The model number for a Moen faucet is usually under the plastic cap on top of the faucet (Moen reps ask/provide this info when you call).
