What's those petcocks between the wheels

I guess I should read the book but this is easier... what are those "petcocks" (there be two of them) for between the wheels?

I suspect they are to drain the fresh water tank. Anybody know?

Kis (don't say kiss, say Kiz)

I have one petcock between the wheels on the street side ... it is for the fresh water tank.

Open them and see what happens.

Just stand clear in case you are opening a vent for the black tank...
