water tank in '62 Ambassador/are tanks coated inside?

have a 62 Ambassador. was wondering if water storage tanks were coated on the inside to prevent rust, (or prehaps have a bladder). don't want to hook up tank and fill before finding out.

The water tanks that were used, were just plain everyday steel tanks.

No coatings, no nothing.

In 1964 Airstream switched to plastic water tanks.

There is a plastic water tank available that takes the place of the metal tank you now have.

Very little replumbing, adding a couple of check valves, a plastic tank, modify the water fill fitting, installing a water pump, solves the problem.
