Water tank drainage

Hi- I have been under the airstream a few times to fix some things, but never eally looked to see if there was an outlet for 'emptying water'...is there one? And do the tanks fill by themselves or is this done by some other method? Thanks, Bill

It has been a long time since I had my '69 International, but I seem to remember that there was a drain cock on the tank and accessed inside the trailer (under the front sofa). I think this connected to a drain hose through the floor. Check it out.

water tank drainage

Hi Bill we are located in Alberta and draining water tanks was something we had to learn. Accourding to our owners manual for 1976 safari the tank is drained by opening valves located right side under sink in rear bath then turn water pump on and pump tank out. Also drain water tank if you are leaving it for any length of time. Hope this helps bill & phyl

Yes you arecorrect about this....something I need to learn...I also will pull out the owners manual to this rig and look it up too. Mr. Garnold- I only have the pull out trays under the sofa area that behin them is just a boxed in door...(I have got a blaste finger nail clipping stuck under my 'd' key!) But I will post again in a little while and tell you what I found out thanks!

....ddddddDDDDD...ddd ok -thats fixed. There is an openning on the outside of this house meant for the filling of....and the drian valve (fixtures are) under the kitchen sink. So now I know there is no water in there. I had wondered about that, and didn't want to be lugging around fifty gallons of water if and when we begin our traveling. Thanks again! Oh and it WAS a fingernail under the 'd' key!
