Water pressure very low

My 1974 airstream had a new water pump put in4 yrs ago. I hear it running when I turn it on but the pressure at the main sink is barely a dribble and nothing at the back sink

More details would help . . .

Have you cleaned out the filter between the water tank and the pump? And the aerator screens in the spouts?

Do other water functions like the toilet spray/flush work OK? Shower?

Is the low pressure for both the hot and cold lines?

If you switch to city water, is everything OK? Sure the water tank is full? Any leaks of water falling out of the bottom of the trailer?

Please advise on the above, and provide any other details you can think of.

Good luck,

Peter

The shower toilet and bath sink are all low pressure I will try it hooked up to city water. Good idea. Do not check filter or screens. There is normal pressure at kitchen sink

freerider, did you try the city water? Also more specific details would be helpful per the questions in Post #2.

Thanks,

Peter

Hi

So which of the two threads should we reply in?

If the issue is a crushed line, you should have water all over the place. If you got a bunch of crud into the system ( like a strainer is missing ....) then you can have issues all over the place. When you pull the strainer, check for crud ...

More things to look at in the other thread.

freerider, are you on board with this approach?

Thanks,

Peter

And do the same problems exist when you use the city water?

How about the toilet spray and flush water.

Also, as Bob asked, have you cleaned out the strainer near the new-ish pump?

Hi

This all is one of the "compelling arguments" for using a particle filter at the input to the RV. It's not a perfect solution, but it does cut down on the amount of crud you have in your system.
